Leipzig-based ZFB - Zentrum für Bucherhaltung GmbH is a highly specialised service provider responsible for the preservation, restoration and rescue of documents, papers, books and files. Since its foundation in 1997, the company has been supporting archives, administrations, libraries and museums. The high-quality work consists in particular of preserving originals. With its restoration and conservation services, ZFB combats ink erosion, acid in the paper, binding damage, mould infestation and damage caused by water and fire disasters.
The Centre for Bookkeeping has approached Netresearch with a request to revise the technical aspects of its website. In addition to a modern, fresh design, the ZFB also wanted greater and more flexible freedom to edit existing and new content for its website. For these reasons, we were chosen. The main focus here was on an intelligent, new page structure, content migration and the revised design. The latter should be easy to maintain by an editor.
For the new design, ZFB has commissioned the design agency Artkolchose which created an award-winning corporate design (CD) was created. For the basis of the website we used the open source CMS TYPO3 was used for the basis of the website. As this content management system (CMS) is particularly powerful and flexible, the existing corporate presence could be restructured smoothly. As TYPO3 experts, we also have many years of experience with this system. This enabled us to respond to the customer's wishes in the best possible way and realise them according to their ideas. We migrated the existing content and the CD created by Artkolchose in consultation with ZFB and integrated the online shop as a separate menu item in the navigation. The editorial team benefits from a user-friendly system with appealing CD elements.
The ZFB online shop has been integrated into the navigation as a separate item and can therefore be accessed by customers and interested parties from the ZFB website. The design of both websites corresponds to the CD and is visually consistent, so that ZFB's online presence is now perfectly rounded off visually. At the end of the project, ZFB has a visually appealing website that simplifies the maintenance of new content. With TYPO3, they also have a system that can react flexibly to new challenges.
