Project


On the recommendation of our long-standing partner DHL, those responsible at Deutsche Post Direkt GmbH approached Netresearch as a consistent and reliable partner and expert for professional extension development in order to better position their services in the Magento market.

In a personal meeting & initial workshop, we jointly analysed the customer's portfolio around the e-commerce relevant products ADDRESSFACTORY and DATAFACTORY and discussed possible approaches for integration in Magento shop systems.

We initially advised Deutsche Post Direkt to implement Magento. A potentially larger target group can be reached for the relevant service, which currently has a stable Magento system in operational use and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

Realisation


Netresearch designed a corresponding MVP (Minimum Viable Product) for the integration of the first DATAFACTORY AUTOCOMPLETE service in Magento.

As a result, we progressed with agile project implementation and finalised the module over small iteration stages and with the constant involvement of the customer.

The extension was officially published on the Magento Marketplace. Future further development and adaptations are also planned based on initial findings in the market. Netresearch is also providing Deutsche Post Direkt with 2nd level technical support for the extension.

Result


The DATAFACTORY AUTOCOMPLETE extension for Magento 2 expands the Magento shop system to include the leading address solutions from Deutsche Post Direkt.

This enables retailers with Magento shop systems to sustainably improve their address quality during the checkout process. As a result, undeliverable items and expensive returns are noticeably reduced, the database is improved and subsequent processes in e-commerce are optimised (e.g. customer care, marketing measures, credit checks, receivables management).

AUTOCOMPLETE is now available for Magento 1, Magento 2 and Shopware 6
