AIDA Cruises is a brand of the cruise company Carnival Corporation & plc and is aimed specifically at the German target group. The AIDA ships have been travelling the seas since 1996. With the idea of offering cruises as a contemporary lifestyle product, AIDA has transformed the German cruise market.
AIDA offers unforgettable travel experiences at sea. With the AIDAaura, AIDAcara, AIDAvita and the new ship AIDAmira, extraordinary routes are covered and dreams come true. AIDA wanted to give holidaymakers the opportunity to experience this diversity visually before they travel. For this purpose, a dedicated website with impressive imagery was to be programmed and realised: AIDA Selection. As a long-standing customer, AIDA approached us with the new concept in 2016.
The entire project - from kick-off to the finished website - was scheduled to take 8 weeks. After the initial concept presentation of the new AIDA Selection programme, the finer details were agreed with us in a further 2 weeks. The website then went into development with the powerful TYPO3 content management system. Thanks to almost 20 years of experience in TYPO3 programming and a wide range of expertise in extensions, we managed to complete the website in the promised 6 weeks. As experts in complex TYPO3 websites and agile project management, we were able to respond promptly to requests and requirements. We were able to react quickly to changing design specifications in accordance with our high quality standards and with reviews by AIDA.
AIDA has been given an impressive website with extraordinary routes from Greenland to Namibia. AIDA's wish to fill the website with meaningful imagery has now been fulfilled. The atmosphere of the individual image worlds now puts the customer in the mood for a holiday even before the trip. Thanks to the TYPO3 CMS and our expertise, we were also able to provide AIDA with a flexible and user-friendly system.
